Looking at your adorable pet duckies is fun, but they do require a lot of work to grow up healthy and strong. Follow these steps to raise your small duckies.
  1.  Buy more than one duckling. Ducklings are social animals and might get lonely  without a companion of the same kind as them.
  2.  Make a small shelter for your baby ducks. For bedding use paper towels or a cloth. Do not use a wire cage which has wire flooring for your ducklings.
  3.  Get a heat lamp for your pet ducklings to keep them warm, since they don't have fully developed feathers yet.  Ducklings would probably prefer a red heat lamp more because it would help them sleep better.
  4.    Buy non-medicated duckling food for your ducklings. Mash or crumbles will be better than pellets for your duckies because they chew mash and crumbles easily.
  5. Do not let your ducklings swim in a deep amount of water. Ducklings do not have waterproof feathers and they might get too cold if they swim.
  6. Change your ducklings' bedding routinely, as you will see, they will make a mess.
  7. Handle your baby ducks gently, so they get used to getting petted and cuddled with.
